Les Bolstad is a Legend of Minnesota Golf
In 1926, Les Bolstad won the Public Links Championships, becoming the youngest Publinks champion – a record that stood for nearly 40 years. He joined the University of Minnesota golf team the following year and won two Big Ten Championships during his collegiate career.
After a great playing career, Bolstad became the U of M men's golf coach in 1947. His experience made him an instrumental piece in shaping what the facility has become. During his time here he worked with some of the best players in the state during his 30 years as coach.
